Class Goals:
* Improve students’ reading, writing, and communicating skills.
* Analyze and discuss literary themes, vocabulary, and concepts that are helpful
and applicable to everyday life.
* Gain clarity and insight on how Americans view morality and the idea of Good vs. Evil throughout the history of the United States.
* Challenge students to think for themselves – filtering good and bad information in order to make inferences and come to conclusions on their own.
* Challenge students’ mental faculties by forcing them to analyze their parts of thinking, in order to help them think critically and look at life and literature in a more in-depth way.
* Use the Common Core Standards to provide students with the English Language skills needed to communicate appropriately and effectively in professional or formal situations.
